Tammy Slaton, star of 1000-Lb. Sisters, has revealed a remarkable transformation, shedding 440 pounds and showing off her new look in a dark blue swimsuit alongside friend and psychic medium Haley Michelle.

Having struggled with her weight for most of her life, Tammy now celebrates newfound independence and mobility. “Being able to walk without a walker or wheelchair, and no oxygen—I don’t even need it to sleep anymore,” she shared, reflecting on her improved quality of life.

Despite a wave of positive encouragement, some responses have been negative, with unsettling and inappropriate comments. Still, Tammy remains focused on her health. Following bariatric surgery in July 2022, she brought her weight down from 725 to 285 pounds—a testament to her determination.

Tammy views her journey as a beacon of hope. “Sharing our stories helps others realize they can lose weight too. They’re not alone,” she said, highlighting the broader impact of her public journey.

Dr. Eric Smith of the Kentucky Bariatric Institute commended her achievements beyond the scale, noting, “What I’m most proud of are the goals she’s hitting—living a healthier, happier life.”
